Detailed description of House on the Rock Resort and Golf Club, The Springs Course
House on the Rock Resort and Golf Club is a resort 27 hole golf facility located in Spring Green, Wisconsin. The facility has both an 18 hole course and a 9 hole course. The 18-hole course is The Springs Course and the 9-hole course is The North Nine.
The Springs Course opened for play in 1971. The Springs Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The North Nine opened for play in 1994. The North Nine was designed by Andy North and Roger B. Packard.
The Springs Course is a par-72 challenge that plays to a maximum 18-hole distance of 6,562 yards. The course rating is 71.5 with a slope rating of 132. The course winds along the valley floor, has narrow landing areas and water hazards on nearly every hole.
Equally challenging and visually breath-taking is the North Nine. The North Nine offers dramatic changes in elevation and subtly sloped greens.
